Three generations of Salt Lake birthdays.
Since 1958, Honeycrumb has baked the cakes at Salt Lake's birthdays, weddings and Sunday dinners, from the same corner on Larkspur Avenue.
June Halvorsen opened the shop with one oven and her mother's buttercream recipe. Her grandkids run it now, and the buttercream hasn't changed. Some families have ordered the same birthday cake for three generations.
